Primary objective of the Southwest Virginia Transportation Council

SWVATC promotes the improvement of professional knowledge through the exchange of ideas and practices and creates an environment where closer personal contacts can be developed between persons associated with maintenance and operation of trucks.

Accomplishing Our Objective

The Southwest Virginia Transportation Council holds monthly dinner meetings on the first Monday of every month. Meetings include a keynote speaker who addresses topics related to the transportation industry. Topics of interest have ranged from best practices in fleet maintenance to presentations on the complex set of laws facing the transportation industry.

Members of the SWVATC represent two separate but equally important groups.

  • Members who own and operate trucks
  • Members who supply parts and services

The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

Announcements - Election of Officers will be held on February 5, 2018 at 6:45 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
Meeting will be held at Corned Beef and Co. in downtown Roanoke. An email will be sent if a change is necessary.
